Quick Overview
Job Description
Our client is an early-stage healthcare AI company building personalized care assistants for Medicare beneficiaries. The product combines human healthcare advocates with AI agents that handle operational work across appointments, insurance, and care coordination. Founded in 2025 and backed by leading venture investors, the company has raised $6.5M and already supports tens of thousands of users in California.
You will own the healthcare integrations and revenue-cycle surface area end to end. You will connect the platform to EHRs, payers, eligibility services, clinical partners, and claims infrastructure so delivered care turns into accurate claims and reliable payment. Responsibilities include building automated claims workflows, designing reliable API and queue-based systems, modeling healthcare data, managing vendors, making build-versus-buy decisions, and partnering closely with operations.
• 2-7 years building and owning third-party platform or data integrations in production.
• Early-stage startup experience from Seed through Series B, or equivalent startup experience alongside Big Tech.
• Experience with EHR, payment, claims, eligibility, billing, coding, denials, or healthcare data workflows.
• Distributed-systems depth across API design, queues, idempotency, and reconciliation.
• Strong Python and TypeScript experience; FastAPI, Next.js, and PostgreSQL are especially relevant.
• Ability to own a domain, manage vendors, and work cross-functionally without detailed direction.
Bonus: Medicare billing, coding, post-acute or home-based care, FHIR, HL7, X12, or a CS degree from a highly selective university.
• $180K-$220K base salary plus competitive early-stage equity.
• Remote to start, with relocation to San Francisco expected by Q1 2027.
• Relocation support is available.
• Visa transfers such as OPT and H-1B transfers may be considered.
• High ownership over a critical product and business domain.
• Mission-driven work improving access to personalized healthcare support.
