Job Description
The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for administering and supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. administering compensation, payroll coordination, benefits, leaves of absence, and employee records; and ensuring consistent application and enforcement of company policies, procedures, and employment practices. The HR Generalist serves as a resource to employees and management, supporting compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and promoting positive employee relations.
Administers and supports payroll processes, compensation changes, benefits enrollment, and leaves of absence (including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, and other applicable programs). Maintains accurate employee records and HRIS data, ensuring confidentiality and compliance. Interprets, applies, and enforces company policies and procedures consistently. Provides guidance to management and employees on HR-related matters, employee relations issues, and workplace conduct. Supports performance management processes, including documentation, corrective actions, and performance evaluations.
Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, new technologies in human resources, and talent management. Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field least one year of human resource management experience preferred. with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. facilities.
