Job Description

Federal Project Eligibility Requirements

Because this position supports a Federal Government project, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Only U.S. Citi*ens and U.S. Permanent Resident$ (Gre3n Card holder$) will be considered.

  • Candidate must have resided in the United States for at least 3 years during the last 5 years, subject to applicable client/federal suitability requirements.

  • Candidate must be able to successfully complete the required Federal background investigation/suitability process.

 

QA Automation Engineer 

We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to support a large-scale Federal Government project. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks, API and UI testing, CI/CD integration, and modern Agile software development practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks for enterprise applications.

  • Develop automated tests for UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.

  • Build automation solutions using Java and/or JavaScript/TypeScript and modern testing frameworks.

  • Execute and maintain automated regression suites and analyze test failures.

  • Perform REST API testing and automation using tools such as REST Assured, Postman, or similar technologies.

  • Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar tools.

  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other QA engineers throughout the SDLC.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, test planning, defect triage, and release validation.

  • Identify defects, document test results, perform root-cause analysis, and track issues through resolution.

  • Develop reusable automation components and continuously improve automation coverage, reliability, and execution efficiency.

  • Support testing and quality standards required for Federal Government applications.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong professional experience in QA Automation / Software Test Automation.

  • Hands-on experience with automation technologies such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks.

  • Strong programming experience with Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or similar languages.

  • Experience with API automation and REST API testing.

  • Experience with test frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, or similar.

  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

  • Strong knowledge of Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins and/or GitLab.

  • Experience with SQL and backend/database validation.

  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and modern SDLC practices.

  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Taiko automation framework is highly preferred.

  • Experience with Gauge test automation framework is highly preferred.

  • Experience using Taiko + Gauge together for browser automation and specification-based testing.

  • Experience supporting Federal Government applications or projects.

  • Experience with cloud platforms, containerized applications, and tools such as Docker/Kubernetes is a plus.

  • Experience with accessibility, performance, or security testing is a plus.
