Systems Engineer | Potomac, MD, United States | Hybrid

The Role

  • Prepare for and conduct design and technical reviews.
  • Interface with other Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to incorporate production and sustainment design considerations.
  • Review and assess multiple design approaches while balancing program risk, cost, and schedule constraints.
  • Lead the development of discrete-event simulations to inform processing capabilities and requirements.
  • Lead the development of descriptive system models for SLCM-N Shore Operations using the Cameo tool and OOSEM methodology.
  • Mentor junior engineers on Systems Engineering and Major Capability Acquisition Lifecycles.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional systems engineering experience on DoD strategic or weapons systems programs.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TOP SECRET clearance.
  • Ability to work full-time in Washington, D.C.
  • Experience with discrete event simulation tools (e.g., ExtendSim).
  • Experience with Navy Strategic Weapons Facility production and operations is a plus.
