Location: New York City, NY Salary: $68.00 USD Hourly - $73.00 USD Hourly Description:
Product Owner - Intraday Liquidity (Treasury Transformation)
We are not accepting C2C or 1099 arrangements.
Location: Charlotte, NC or New York, NY
Work Arrangement:
  • Charlotte: Hybrid, 3 days onsite per week
  • New York: Hybrid, 1 day onsite per week

Duration: Through December 31, 2027
Extension/Conversion: Possible
Overtime: Minimal (approximately 0-4 hours per month)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Product Owner to join the Treasury Transformation Office and support the firm's Intraday Liquidity Management initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of Treasury, Technology, Data Engineering, Risk, and Operations, helping translate complex business requirements into scalable technology and data solutions.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can quickly establish credibility, drive delivery in an Agile environment, and balance strategic product ownership with hands-on data analysis. This person will be comfortable leading discussions with both technical teams and senior executives while maintaining accountability for product outcomes.
Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Ownership
  • Define and manage product roadmaps, priorities, and backlogs.
  • Develop business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Evaluate trade-offs and drive informed decision-making across stakeholders.
  • Ensure alignment between business objectives and technology solutions.
Program & Project Leadership
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives from planning through execution.
  • Coordinate activities across Treasury, Technology, Data Engineering, Operations, and Risk teams.
  • Manage project milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables.
  • Provide clear status updates and executive-level reporting.
Data Analysis & Insights
  • Perform hands-on analysis using large and complex datasets.
  • Validate business requirements and solution outcomes through data-driven investigation.
  • Support testing, implementation, and post-deployment validation activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, analytics, controls, and liquidity monitoring capabilities.
Stakeholder Communication
  • Translate technical concepts and data findings into clear business recommendations.
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions with business and technology partners.
  • Present concise, executive-ready updates that drive action and decision-making.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
    • Product Ownership
    • Business Analysis
    • Data Analysis
    • Financial Services or Treasury-related functions
  • Strong experience working within Agile delivery environments.
  • Demonstrated Program or Project Management experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Experience collaborating with business stakeholders, data engineers, and application development teams.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
Required Technical Skills
  • SQL

  • GitHub Copilot
  • Data analysis, validation, and reporting
  • Requirements gathering and backlog management
  • Agile/Scrum methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within a large banking institution such as Wells Fargo or comparable financial organizations.
  • Background in Treasury, Payments, Liquidity Management, or Financial Risk.
  • Familiarity with:
    • Intraday Liquidity Management Systems (ILMS)
    • Wires and ACH payments
    • Real-Time Payments (RTP)
    • Treasury technology platforms
    • Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT)
    • Tokenization and emerging payment technologies
  • Experience supporting fintech or payments-related technology initiatives.

  • Capable of balancing strategic product leadership with hands-on analytical work.
