Job Description

Technical Team Leader - technical security systems construction - CCTV, Access Control, Public Address DV Cleared Full time onsite - £465 p/d inside IR35

One of our government clients is looking for an experienced Technical Architect to join them for a 12 month contract. They are offering £465 per day INSIDE IR35.

Our client is based near Milton Keynes - commutable from Northampton, East Midlands, Bedford, Luton or Central London. Due to the nature of the role, they are unable to offer Hybrid, Remote or Homeworking arrangements. On-site attendance will form part of the contract.

This role is working in a Security Cleared environment. You will need to be SC or DV (developed vetting) cleared or eligible to undertake SC or DV Security Clearance.

As the Technical Team Leader, your role will be to provide installation team leadership and technical expertise in the UK, for preparation work and at overseas locations for onsite delivery of technical security systems and other construction phase work. Expertise is required in a range of systems including CCTV, Access Control, Public Address.

Our client needs to be familiar with systems from Hanwha, Ipro, Hirsch/Identiv, ASL/Zenitel, Bosch (Presidio). You should also be proficient in installing metallic and PVC containment systems, premises cabling and infrastructure.

Experience Required:

  • Automated access control
  • CCTV
  • Public address systems
  • Data cabling and infrastructure to government security standards and classifications
  • Understanding of electrical testing and requirements
  • Ability to Interpret, analyse, and explain technical drawings and data
  • Experienced in the use of Microsoft Visio, Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Develop and implement safe systems of work, ensuring that staff co-operate with undertaking risk assessments and comply with health and safety policies and procedures
  • Level 3 qualification in an electrical or electronic field compiling a minimum of 6-12 relevant units in the electrotechnical cadre
  • SMSTS or equivalent H&S qualification
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage internal/external Customers, End-users, Third-party suppliers and key Stakeholders across the organisation
  • Hold a current ECS card to installation/approved competency level
  • Experience of task managing and supervising teams
