Job Introduction

Turning Point is a leading health and social care social enterprise, supporting people with mental health, learning disabilities, substance use, sexual health and employment needs. We are committed to delivering innovative services and sustainable change that improve outcomes for the people and communities we support.

We are recruiting a Senior Project Manager to join our Portfolio & Transformation Delivery function. This role will lead the delivery of complex business and technology change initiatives that support organisational priorities and strategic objectives.

Working across operational services, corporate functions, digital teams, suppliers and senior stakeholders, you will provide strong project leadership from initiation through to implementation and transition. You will manage complexity, coordinate dependencies and ensure projects are delivered within agreed scope, time, cost, quality and governance requirements.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering programmes of change that improve services, strengthen organisational capability and support long-term organisational sustainability.

The role offers flexible remote working, with occasional travel to London, Manchester and other Turning Point locations for workshops, stakeholder engagement and key project activities.

Role Responsibility

As a Senior Project Manager, you will:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex business and technology change projects from initiation through to implementation and closure.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, governance arrangements and reporting.
  • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies and change controls.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers and delivery partners.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams across business, operational and technical workstreams.
  • Facilitate governance, decision-making and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure projects remain focused on agreed outcomes, benefits and organisational priorities.
  • Manage supplier performance, implementation activities and transition into business-as-usual arrangements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project delivery practices and capability.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager with strong delivery leadership and a track record of successfully delivering complex change initiatives.

You will:

  • Have significant experience delivering complex business, technology or organisational change projects.
  • Demonstrate successful delivery within environments involving multiple stakeholders, competing priorities and significant organisational impact.
  • Be confident working with senior leaders, operational teams, technical specialists and suppliers.
  • Have experience leading multidisciplinary teams within a matrix environment.
  • Demonstrate strong supplier, financial, risk and quality management capability.
  • Possess excellent communication, facilitation, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understand business readiness, implementation and transition into business-as-usual operations.
  • Be able to provide leadership, coaching and constructive challenge without formal line-management responsibility.

Relevant project management qualifications are desirable, as is experience working within health, social care, public sector, charity or other complex people-centred organisations.

If you are passionate about delivering meaningful change and working in an organisation that makes a difference to people's lives, we would love to hear from you.
