Job Summary
We are seeking a QA Engineer specializing in Performance and Load Testing to design, execute, and analyze performance tests across modern application architectures. This role will focus on validating system scalability, reliability, responsiveness, and stability under varying levels of traffic and workload. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with HTTP/API testing, event-driven systems, WebSocket traffic, performance metrics, and identifying application and infrastructure bottlenecks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute load, stress, endurance, and scalability test scenarios for web applications and distributed systems.
• Develop performance test plans covering HTTP/REST APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, and WebSocket traffic.
• Generate realistic workloads that simulate concurrent users, API requests, events, and persistent connections.
• Analyze key performance indicators including response time, latency percentiles (P50/P90/P95/P99), throughput, error rates, resource utilization, and connection behavior.
• Identify performance bottlenecks across application, database, network, and infrastructure layers.
• Establish performance baselines and compare results across builds, releases, and environments.
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps, SRE, and infrastructure teams to investigate and resolve performance issues.
• Monitor system behavior under increasing loads and identify scalability limits and capacity constraints.
• Create detailed performance test reports documenting test conditions, findings, bottlenecks, and recommendations.
• Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous performance monitoring.
• Troubleshoot failed or degraded performance tests and determine whether issues originate from application code, dependencies, databases, networking, or infrastructure.
• Maintain and improve automated performance-testing frameworks and reusable test scenarios.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 6 + years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience in QA, software testing, or performance engineering.
• Strong understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, WebSockets, TCP/IP, and distributed systems.
• Experience with performance/load-testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, k6, Locust, or LoadRunner.
• Proficiency in analyzing latency, throughput, error rates, concurrency, and system resource utilization.
• Experience troubleshooting and identifying application and infrastructure bottlenecks.
• Familiarity with databases and SQL for performance analysis.
• Understanding of cloud environments and modern application architectures such as microservices and containerized systems.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
