Job Description

Thrive delivers upon the promise of technology by enabling our clients’ digital transformation journeys with best practices on an AI, cybersecurity and cloud focused NextGen managed services platform.

Thrive’s culture is powered by diverse talent, big ideas, and a customer-first mindset—and it’s what truly sets us apart. Thrive is built for people who want more than a weekday routine. If you’re hungry to grow, eager to tackle new challenges and ready to drive real impact in a rapidly expanding environment, then welcome to THRIVE!

Position Overview

We're hiring a Business Development Representative to join our growing UK sales team. This is a high-activity, outbound-first role - your job is to generate the pipeline that fuels our Client Business Executives (CBEs). You'll be on the phone, in inboxes, and on LinkedIn every day, prospecting into target accounts, sparking interest in Thrive's technology and security services, and booking qualified meetings for our sales team to close.

This role is ideal for someone looking to break into technology or cybersecurity sales, learn the fundamentals of B2B selling, and build a foundation for a long-term career in the industry. We're less interested in a polished CV and more interested in hunger, resilience, and a genuine drive to succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Make a high volume of outbound cold calls every single day - this is a numbers and activity-driven role, and consistent effort is non-negotiable
  • Prospect and build target lists using our sales tools (CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, intent data, etc.)
  • Run structured outbound cadences combining calls, email, and social outreach to engage prospective clients
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads against our ideal customer profile
  • Book qualified meetings and hand off well-prepared opportunities to Client Business Executives
  • Learn and clearly articulate Thrive's value proposition across managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud, and compliance services
  • Keep accurate, disciplined CRM records - activity, notes, and pipeline data
  • Hit and exceed weekly/monthly activity and meeting-booked targets
  • Collaborate closely with CBEs and marketing to refine messaging and targeting
  • Continuously look for ways to improve your own outreach, scripts, and objection handling
  • Tenacity and resilience - you're not put off by rejection; you pick up the phone again and again
  • Self-motivation and proactivity - you don't wait to be told what to do; you find ways to hit and beat your targets
  • A genuine interest in technology and/or cybersecurity sales as a career path
  • Strong communication skills - confident, clear, and personable on the phone and in writing
  • Coachability - hungry to learn, open to feedback, and willing to put in the reps
  • Competitive, target-driven mindset with a strong work ethic
  • Organisation and discipline - able to manage a high volume of daily activity without losing accuracy
  • No specific experience or degree required - open to graduates, career-changers, or anyone early in their working life who wants to get into tech sales. Prior experience in sales, customer service, telesales, or a customer-facing role is a plus but not essential
