Job Description

Senior Automation Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer with strong expertise in UI automation, API testing, and CI/CD pipeline integration to join our QA engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks that improve software quality, increase test coverage, and accelerate release cycles. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Playwright, Python, PyTest, Jenkins, and modern automation practices. Exposure to AWS cloud environments, Agile methodologies, and continuous testing within CI/CD pipelines is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable UI and API automation frameworks using Playwright, Python, and PyTest.
  • Create and execute automated test suites for web applications and REST APIs.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to enable continuous testing.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to ensure high software quality throughout the SDLC.
  • Expand automation coverage and reduce reliance on manual testing.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with engineering teams to resolve issues.
  • Implement automation best practices to improve test reliability, maintainability, and execution speed.
  • Support testing in AWS-based environments and cloud-native applications.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and code reviews to ensure quality-first development.

Required Skills

  • 8+ years of software testing and automation experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Playwright, Python, and PyTest.
  • Experience automating UI and REST API testing.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud services and cloud-based application testing.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
