Job Description

Our client is a leading global alternative investment manager with a significant presence across public and private credit markets. As part of a broader transformation of its KYC function in the US, the firm is seeking a Credit Subject Matter Expert to bring deep product and counterparty knowledge to the programme.

You will act as the credit specialist within the KYC transformation, ensuring that onboarding, due diligence and ongoing review processes reflect the realities of credit trading and investment activity. Working alongside KYC operations, compliance, legal and technology stakeholders, you will shape how the firm identifies, risk-assesses and onboards credit counterparties and structures.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise on credit products, including leveraged loans, private credit, direct lending, CLOs, high yield and investment grade bonds
  • Advise on the KYC treatment of credit-specific counterparties and entity types, such as borrowers, agents, lenders, SPVs and fund vehicles
  • Contribute to the design of target operating model, policies and procedures for the US KYC function
  • Translate credit business requirements into clear KYC standards, data requirements and process documentation
  • Support the review and remediation of existing client and counterparty files where credit activity is involved
  • Partner with technology and change teams on requirements gathering, testing and implementation of new KYC workflows
  • Engage with front office credit teams to balance regulatory obligations with commercial and operational needs
  • 6+ years in credit markets, credit operations, or credit-focused KYC/AML
  • Strong knowledge of credit products and their counterparty and entity structures
  • Solid grasp of US AML/KYC regulation (BSA, FinCEN CDD Rule, OFAC)
  • Experience on KYC transformation, remediation or operating model change
  • Background within an asset manager, hedge fund or investment bank
  • Confident stakeholder manager across front office, compliance and technology

Length: Initial 9-12 month contract
