Farmers Insurance District 40 is looking for an experienced insurance professional to join our team as an Agency Business Consultant.

In this role, you’ll work directly with Farmers agency owners to strengthen their businesses through strategic planning, sales development, operational support, and hands-on coaching. This is an opportunity for someone who understands the insurance industry and enjoys helping other professionals identify challenges, develop solutions, and turn goals into measurable results.

What You'll Do

• Build strong working relationships with agency owners and serve as a trusted business resource

• Coach agency owners on sales strategy, business planning, customer retention, and overall agency growth

• Review agency performance and identify opportunities to improve production, profitability, and efficiency

• Help agency owners establish goals and develop actionable plans to achieve them

• Support new agency owners as they navigate licensing, onboarding, business launch, and early-stage growth

• Consult on recruiting, onboarding, training, and developing agency staff

• Help agencies improve sales processes, lead management, customer follow-up, and day-to-day operations

• Encourage the adoption of technology, systems, and best practices that improve agency performance

• Provide ongoing accountability, coaching, and problem-solving support

• Collaborate with District 40 leadership, recruiting, and specialty teams to connect agency owners with the right resources

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in insurance, business consulting, sales leadership, agency operations, or a related field

• Active Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health insurance licensing

• Strong understanding of sales, business development, and performance management

• Ability to analyze business results and turn data into practical strategies

• Experience coaching, mentoring, or developing others

• Confident communicator who can build credibility with business owners

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Organized and capable of managing relationships and priorities across multiple agencies

• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
