Description

For over 125 years, Calvary Hospital and Calvary @Home located in the Bronx, New York has been dedicated to the palliative care of advanced cancer and other terminally ill patients and their families. Through a caring, compassionate, philosophy of non-abandonment, the hospice provides a full spectrum of palliative services, including emotional, spiritual, and physical care. The hospice receives patients from referring institutions throughout New York City and the entire tristate area. When you come to Calvary Hospital, you're not just getting a job, you're joining a family.

Requirements: To assume temporary duties of patient care during assigned periods of time at the discretion of the Calvary Hospital Medical Director.


Location:
 Bronx Campus

Status: Per Diem

Shifts: Evenings, Monday - Friday (4pm - 8am) and 24 hours on Weekends/Holidays

Salary: $130.00/hourly

Qualifications: 

  • Medical degree from an approved  institution.
  • New York State License.
  • Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Board of Family Practice, or have demonstrated substantially equivalent training and expertise.
  • Competent to care for patients in the advanced stage of disease.
  •  Exhibits an ability and attitude relative to the spirit of care and tradition of Calvary Hospital as required by specific job duties and functions.
