Commercial Gas Engineer

JWB Recruitment are proud to be recruiting for a Senior Commercial Gas Engineer to work over the South West of England.<br />Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Commercial Gas &amp; HVAC Engineer to join their team, supporting a portfolio of sites across South West England. This senior-level position is ideal for an engineer confident working independently across a wide range of commercial environments.<br />You will be responsible for the installation, service, maintenance, and repair of commercial gas systems, air conditioning equipment, and oil‑fired plant. Sites include healthcare facilities, retail premises, education settings, and wider commercial buildings, so professionalism, strong communication, and consistently high standards of workmanship are essential.<br />Key Responsibilities

• Installation, service, and repair of commercial gas systems
• Planned and reactive maintenance of gas and air conditioning systems
• Work on oil burners, boilers, and tanked oil systems
• Delivering high‑quality work across healthcare, retail, education, and commercial sites
• Ensuring full compliance with gas safety, F‑Gas, OFTEC, and industry standards
• Representing the company professionally on client sites across the South West<br />Experience &amp; Qualifications
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in the HVAC or commercial gas industry
• Clean UK driving licence
• Current DBS or ability to pass standard and enhanced DBS checks
• Domestic &amp; Commercial Gas qualifications (Natural Gas &amp; LPG)
• OFTEC certification or strong experience with oil‑fired systems (Desired)
• F‑Gas certification or strong working knowledge of A/C service and maintenance<br />The Package:
• Up to £53,000 basic salary (DOE)
• Door‑to‑door pay
