The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring accurate placement. • Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Perform pre- and post-operation inspections on equipment to guarantee safety and functionality. • Communicate effectively with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily operations. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols and procedures. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays. • Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders/stairs on railcars. • Must pass a background verification, physical, and drug screening.
