W2 SCRUM MASTER Oakland, CA

Introduction:

An experienced Scrum Master is needed to support an HR technology delivery team working within a SAP HR (HCM) and SuccessFactors environment. This role will involve facilitating Agile ceremonies, managing sprint execution, and coaching the team on Scrum and Agile best practices, including hybrid Agile/waterfall governance.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Coach the team and stakeholders on Agile and Scrum principles, values, and practices.
• Partner with the Product Owner to maintain a clear, prioritized backlog and ensure user stories are well-defined.
• Manage and maintain sprint boards, backlogs, and reporting in Jira.
• Identify and remove impediments and blockers affecting team delivery.
• Build strong, trusted relationships with SAP HR/HRIS stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Support coordination between Agile delivery teams and SAP HR (HCM) functional and technical resources.
• Track and communicate team metrics and delivery progress to stakeholders and leadership.
• Proactively identify risks and dependencies across the program and drive resolution.
• Promote a collaborative, transparent, and high-performing team culture.
• Support hybrid Agile/waterfall program governance.

Requirements:

Required:

• 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master leading Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
• Working knowledge of SAP HR (HCM) and/or SAP SuccessFactors modules.
• Hands-on experience managing sprints, backlogs, and reporting in Jira.
• Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to coach teams and stakeholders on Agile principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Oakland, CA three days per week.
• Experience applying RAID/RACI frameworks and supporting hybrid Agile/waterfall program governance.

Preferred:

• Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, SAFe SM, or equivalent).
• Experience supporting HR technology, HRIS, or ERP implementation programs.
• Experience with SAP SuccessFactors, SAP S/4HANA, or RISE with SAP transformation programs.
• Experience working within a SAFe or scaled Agile environment.
• Certified Agile Scrum Master (ASM), PMP, or equivalent certification with SAP program experience.
