Founding Product Designer

Our client is a financial technology platform built for franchise and independent brand operators.

They serve a massive, underserved economy - 850,000 doors, a $4 trillion market, billions in annual spend, billions in debt originations, and billions spent every year on accounting services alone. Their platform combines expansion loans, an industry-leading charge card, and an AI-powered bookkeeping product into one integrated financial operating system.

They're an engineering and product-driven team, small and fast-moving, working on hard problems with real economic scale behind them.
Role Description
You'll design across our client's full platform - loans, cards, and the AI bookkeeper - with the bookkeeper as the center of gravity. This is a system that will sometimes be wrong, and part of the design challenge is building a front end that handles that honestly: surfacing uncertainty, inviting the user to correct us, and getting smarter because they did. You're designing the interaction that makes that correction feel seamless and inevitable, not like extra work.

Beyond the correction loop, you're designing how we communicate value - showing people, clearly and concretely, how much time and effort our product is saving them and their business.

And across the platform broadly, you're building a system and point of view for how to take genuinely complex, data-rich information and present it in a way that feels simple and intuitive.

You'll have a lot of agency here and will work closely with engineering and the leadership team, not in a silo, but as a core part of the company's overall output.
Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of design experience, including full design ownership of a product launch, start to finish
• Demonstrated ability to translate design decisions into behavioral outcomes: conversion, retention, activation, not just visual polish
• Demonstrated use of AI and modern design tooling in your actual workflow, not just familiarity
• Strong structured thinking and UX flow thinking. You can reason through a system, not just a screen
