Staff Product Designer / Contract / Hybrid / Mountain View

Our client, a leader in financial tax software, is looking to hire a Product Designer. This is a hybrid role that will be onsite 3x a week in Mountain View, CA.

*This job is an 11-month W2 contract role with benefits & paid holidays!*

As a Product Designer, you will spearhead the end-to-end product design of a B2B2C product, mitigating consumer and business financial risks. You will be responsible for designing complex experiences that require both deep systems thinking as well as collaboration with technical and non-technical teams, leveraging data to drive not only functional but beautiful designs.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end B2B2C experiences, prioritizing clarity and efficiency for high-proficiency power users
• Craft a vision for great customer experiences and inspire cross-functional partners to get behind that vision
• Execute strong visual design with an exceptional level of craft and polish in interaction, visual, and motion design
• Translate complex data into clean, functional interfaces and actionable business insights
• Partner with Design Technologists and Engineering to ensure integrity and bridge the gap between requirements and technical constraints

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of end-to-end Product, HCI, or Interaction Design experience
• Experience navigating ambiguous end-to-end SaaS products, leading experimentation, rapid testing, and design vision/strategy
• Prior experience in enterprise B2B tech, fintech, banking, or financial services and/or highly-regulated industries such as insurance, healthcare, cybersecurity or trust & safety
• Working knowledge of designing using Figma, FigJam, & the Adobe Creative Suite
• Demonstrated experience using AI for streamlining design workflows

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Service Design, Interaction Design, Industrial Design
• Experience designing B2B2C models or products with a variety of users
• Must have a creative online portfolio that demonstrates your strengths!
