About the Company
This venture-backed startup is building AI-powered tools to improve access to behavioral healthcare. They are developing a platform that combines patient-facing and clinician-facing AI experiences into a unified care model, with a focus on delivering scalable, high-quality mental health support.

The Role
The company is hiring its first full-time Product Designer to establish and lead the design function. Reporting directly to the CPO, this person will own the product design strategy, define the design system and visual language, and play a key role in shaping product direction alongside leadership. This is a hands-on founding design position with a path toward building and leading the design organization as the company grows.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design for consumer-facing experiences across the core product.
• Design AI-driven conversational experiences that feel intuitive, natural, and user-centered.
• Create workflows and interfaces that improve efficiency and reduce complexity for healthcare professionals.
• Establish the company's visual language, design system, component library, and interaction patterns across product and brand.
• Develop scalable design processes, documentation, and engineering handoff practices.
• Partner closely with product and engineering leadership to influence product strategy and roadmap decisions.
• Rapidly prototype and iterate on concepts using modern AI-assisted design and development tools.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product design experience, including ownership of consumer-facing digital products.
• Experience as an early or founding designer within a startup environment.
• Demonstrated ability to balance strategic design leadership with hands-on execution.
• Portfolio showcasing shipped products and clear ownership of end-to-end design work.
• Advanced proficiency with Figma, including design systems and component libraries.
• Experience incorporating AI-powered prototyping and development tools into day-to-day workflows.
• Strong visual, interaction, and UX design skills for consumer applications.
• Experience designing products in healthcare or other regulated industries is preferred.

Compensation: $160,000K - $240,000K. Flexible with experience.
