We are seeking a hands-on Embedded Software Engineer with strong experience in Embedded C, MATLAB/Simulink, and embedded software testing. This role focuses on developing, debugging, integrating, and validating low-level software for hardware-connected systems. Automotive embedded experience including CAN, LIN, diagnostics, and NVM is preferred.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, debug, integrate, and maintain Embedded C software for low-level and hardware-connected applications. Develop and maintain MATLAB/Simulink models, algorithms, and supporting code. Translate system, functional, and software requirements into software designs, algorithms, and implementation. Perform unit, integration, and system-level testing of embedded software. Develop and execute Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test scenarios and analyze results. Debug embedded software and investigate software, hardware, and integration issues.

Develop, integrate, and troubleshoot software using CAN and LIN communication protocols. Support embedded diagnostics and Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) functionality. Analyze test failures, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with hardware, systems, controls, software, and test engineering teams. Support requirements management and traceability, test planning, defect tracking, verification, and validation. Support software integration, validation, and release activities. Improve embedded software development, debugging, and testing processes.

Experience Required4+ years of hands-on embedded software development.

Strong hands-on Embedded C development experience. Hands-on MATLAB/Simulink development, modeling, or algorithm implementation. Experience with unit and integration testing of embedded software. Experience debugging embedded software and investigating low-level issues. Experience translating technical or system requirements into software designs, algorithms, and implementation. Practical experience with at least one additional programming language, or advanced proficiency in a primary language.6+ years of overall IT experience consistent with an Engineer 3 level.

Experience PreferredEmbedded software development for automotive or other hardware-connected systems. HIL testing and hardware/software integration. CAN and LIN protocols, automotive diagnostics, and NVM.Embedded requirements management and traceability. Algorithm design and implementation based on system requirements. Low-level debugging and root-cause analysis of embedded software/hardware issues. Collaboration with hardware, controls, systems, and test engineering teams. MATLAB/Simulink-based algorithm development and validation.

Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Education Preferred: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related technical discipline. About Stefanini Group
