Why Sony Interactive Entertainment?

Sony Interactive Entertainment isn’t just the Best Place to Play — it’s also the Best Place to Work. Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is the company behind the PlayStation brand. As a subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation, we’re part of a proud legacy of innovation and excellence. SIE is a dynamic technology company, delivering cutting-edge hardware and network services to more than 100 million people and an entertainment leader, home to some of the most beloved and recognizable intellectual properties (IP) in the world. Our role at SIE is to create and nurture the experiences under the PlayStation brand, a name synonymous with entertainment excellence and creativity.

Position Summary

We are seeking a mid-level ServiceNow Developer to support and enhance our global ServiceNow platform. You will contribute to operational support, platform development, integrations, maintenance, and documentation while working with experienced developers, architects, and business partners.

The level of responsibility will be aligned with the successful candidate’s demonstrated skills and experience. Mid-level developers will be expected to complete routine assignments with greater independence.

This position offers opportunities to expand your ServiceNow expertise through hands-on development, code and design reviews, and platform initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Support

  • Support queue management, incident investigation and mitigation, request fulfillment, and routine platform maintenance.
  • Monitor platform health, logs, scheduled jobs, and integrations; investigate issues and coordinate with dependent teams when necessary.
  • Document issues, findings, resolutions, and follow-up actions.
  • Participate in agile team activities, including stand-ups and planning.
  • Manage incident response during regular working hours and engage with global colleagues for handovers as needed.

Integration Development and Support

  • Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise systems using technologies such as IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, REST or SOAP APIs, and MID Servers.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot existing integrations and implement fixes appropriate to your experience level.
  • Participate in integration testing, validation, error handling, and reconciliation to support accurate and reliable data exchange.
  • Apply approved authentication, credential-management, security, and data-handling practices.

Platform Development and Engineering

  • Configure, develop, test, and enhance ServiceNow solutions using components such as Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Transform Maps, Import Sets, and Flows.
  • Support platform upgrades, patches, clones, releases, and routine maintenance.
  • Create maintainable solutions that follow established development, security, testing, and accessibility standards.
  • Participate in peer reviews and address feedback before deployment.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve platform reliability, usability, and support processes.

Collaboration and Professional Development

  • Work with developers, architects, product owners, administrators, and teams such as ITSM, HRIS, ITOM, Security, and external vendors.
  • Translate clearly defined business requirements into technical solutions, seeking guidance when requirements or risks are unclear.
  • Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, troubleshooting sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities.
  • Develop knowledge of ServiceNow architecture, APIs, authentication, data management, and secure development practices.

Documentation and Governance

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, integration mappings, process flows, support procedures, and runbooks.
  • Ensure work complies with applicable governance, change-management, security, privacy, and data-protection requirements.
  • Contribute reusable guidance and resolved issues to team wiki/confluence spaces.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should meet most of the following qualifications:

  • Approximately 3–5 years of relevant experience with ServiceNow, another enterprise workflow platform, or a combination of related education, training, and practical experience.
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow configuration and development concepts.
  • Experience with ITSM processes such as Incident, Change, Problem, or Request Management.
  • Experience with JavaScript or a comparable scripting language. ServiceNow-specific scripting and Glide API experience may be developed in the role.
  • Foundational understanding of REST APIs, web services, authentication, and data integrations.
  • Ability to investigate technical issues, document findings, and communicate when assistance is needed.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical and nontechnical colleagues.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification, or willingness to obtain it.

Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are helpful but not required. We encourage candidates to apply even if they do not meet every preferred qualification.

  • Experience with IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, REST or SOAP integrations, or MID Servers.
  • Familiarity with CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, Hardware Asset Management, or Software Asset Management.
  • Exposure to source control, automated testing, CI/CD, or ServiceNow Automated Test Framework.
  • Experience with Platform Analytics or Performance Analytics.
  • Familiarity with capabilities such as Virtual Agent, AI Search, or Now Assist.
  • ServiceNow certifications such as Certified Application Developer or relevant implementation specialist credentials.

Skills and Working Approach
