Location: Marion, OH Onsite 
Duration: 12+ Months Contract 

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to support manufacturing operations in Marion, OH. The Industrial Engineer will play a key role in driving productivity, optimizing manufacturing processes, improving labor utilization, and supporting cost accuracy across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in manufacturing Industrial Engineering, time studies, line balancing, continuous improvement, labor standards, capacity planning, and cost analysis. Experience with MODAPTS and Yamazumi charts is highly relevant to this position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide methods and solutions to eliminate all types of waste in the production process.
  • Drive continuous improvement through detailed analytics.
  • Develop and maintain a project pipeline for cost reduction and cost takeout.
  • Lead time studies utilizing MODAPTS / predetermined time analysis.
  • Perform line balancing using Yamazumi charts for line rate changes.
  • Identify Non-Value Add, Unbalanced, Value Add, and Semi-Value Add activities.
  • Lead cost studies to determine the most effective product flow within the plant.
  • Provide leadership to continuous improvement teams and support manufacturing process improvement initiatives.
  • Drive the plant toward short- and long-term labor productivity targets.
  • Support the scoping and execution of cost improvement projects.
  • Ensure new models and parts are efficiently integrated into manufacturing operations.
  • Develop and maintain equipment capacity information and capacity planning.
  • Maintain and support costing, production routers, line balances, and labor utilization.
  • Support level loading across workstations and departments to balance production flow and capacity.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, ergonomics, and repeatability.
  • Support the development and maintenance of production standards.

Required/Preferred Experience

  • Experience as an Industrial Engineer in a manufacturing or plant environment.
  • Experience conducting time studies and work measurement.
  • Hands-on experience with MODAPTS or other predetermined time analysis methodologies.
  • Experience with line balancing and Yamazumi charts.
  • Strong understanding of motion economy and work elements.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
  • Experience identifying and eliminating manufacturing waste.
  • Experience analyzing Value-Added and Non-Value-Added activities.
  • Experience with labor standards, labor productivity, and labor utilization.
  • Experience with capacity planning and level loading.
  • Experience with manufacturing cost studies and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Ability to analyze manufacturing data and develop actionable improvement opportunities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
