The Role

• Oversee installation, configuration, testing, monitoring, and servicing of network equipment for critical Department of Defense networks.
• Coordinate with customers, perform Initial Test and Acceptance (IT&A), and manage all reporting and data input for network activations in accordance with strict standards.
• Configure and maintain out-of-band management networks utilizing industry-leading Cisco and Juniper devices.
• Upgrade software on network devices and create/update project documentation for IP addressing schemes and port assignments.
• Engage with project managers and customers to resolve requirements issues and facilitate approvals for service requests.
• Perform systems analysis to define hardware, software, and system functional requirements based on customer needs.

What You'll Need

• Knowledge of network hardware specifications, configuration, testing processes, and industry standards.
• Experience in network engineering, problem management, and performance management.
• Understanding of network architecture, technology evaluation, and needs assessment.
• Familiarity with data and voice network design, IP protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), and circuit configurations.
• Experience with at least one network service (e.g., BGP, OSPF, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, WAN, VPN, VLAN) and network appliances.
• An active Secret security clearance and a DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) are required.
