Senior Software AI Engineer

Location: Blue Bell, PA – Remote
Rate: $60/hr on W2

We are looking for a Senior Software AI Engineer with strong backend/enterprise software development experience. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, SQL, and cloud/container technologies, along with hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude or GitHub Copilot.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain production-grade Java/Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs.
• Use AI tools such as Claude and Copilot for coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Review and optimize AI-generated code for quality, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Work with workflow orchestration platforms such as Temporal, Camunda, or similar.
• Contribute to CI/CD, DevOps, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and AWS environments.
• Collaborate with technical leads, data teams, and product teams on end-to-end solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, system optimization, and Agile development.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of backend/enterprise software engineering experience.
• Strong Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST API, and SQL experience.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying production applications.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (Claude, Copilot, or similar).
• Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift, AWS, CI/CD, and DevOps.
• Experience with distributed/event-driven systems.
• Exposure to Temporal, Camunda, Flowable, JBPM, or Drools.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and code-review skills.
