Required Education//Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Required Skills, Experience, & Abilities:
7+ years of relevant experience in DevOps, L3/production support, application support, cloud engineering, or related areas.
Strong hands-on experience with DevOps and L3 production support in an enterprise environment.
Strong knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools, pipeline development, deployment automation, and release management.
Experience with OpenShift/Kubernetes and containerized applications, including deployment, configuration, scaling, troubleshooting, and operational support.
Strong understanding of cloud technologies and cloud-based application environments.
Strong production support experience with Java applications.
Hands-on experience with Microservices architecture, REST APIs, service-to-service communication, and distributed applications.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across application, middleware, container, and infrastructure layers.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a Senior L3 DevOps Engineer to support and maintain critical applications and platforms within a banking/financial services environment. The role provides advanced production support, troubleshoots complex application, infrastructure, deployment, and performance issues, drives incident resolution, and performs root cause analysis to implement permanent corrective actions. The engineer will help ensure the reliability, availability, performance, security, resiliency, and operational stability of production environments. The position requires strong hands-on experience with DevOps, CI/CD, cloud technologies, OpenShift/Kubernetes, Java, Microservices, Linux, Git, REST APIs, monitoring, and enterprise production support practices. The successful candidate will collaborate with development, QA, infrastructure, cloud, security, and application support teams while supporting deployment, release, and change management activities across development, test, and production environments. The role also requires identifying opportunities to automate repetitive operational activities and participating in on-call/after-hours support for critical production systems.
Responsibilities:
Provide L3 production support for business-critical applications and services.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, infrastructure, deployment, and performance issues.
Perform root cause analysis for recurring incidents and implement permanent corrective actions.
Monitor application health, availability, performance, and infrastructure metrics.
Support deployment, release, and change management activities across development, test, and production environments.
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
Support OpenShift/Kubernetes environments for application deployment, configuration, scaling, troubleshooting, and operations.
Support cloud-based environments and services, including infrastructure and application integrations.
Troubleshoot Java-based applications and Microservices, including application logs, APIs, service dependencies, and runtime issues.
Collaborate with development, QA, infrastructure, cloud, security, and application support teams to resolve production issues.
Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes in accordance with enterprise standards.
Identify opportunities to automate repetitive operational and support activities.
Develop and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Participate in on-call/after-hours support as required for critical production systems.
Ensure production environments meet organizational standards for security, availability, resiliency, and operational stability.
