Now Hiring: Precision Assembly Technician


Location: State College, PA


Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour

Are you detail-oriented and skilled with hands-on assembly work? We are seeking a Precision Assembly Technician to support the manufacturing of advanced electronic and sensor-based products in a clean, quality-focused production environment. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in micro-assembly, hand soldering, electronics assembly, manufacturing, or fine-detail craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities


  • Perform precision assembly using microscopes, hand tools, tweezers, and specialty equipment

  • Complete hand soldering, bonding, cable assembly, and component preparation tasks

  • Read and follow blueprints, diagrams, work instructions, and manufacturing procedures

  • Assemble and inspect electronic and sensor components to quality specifications

  • Conduct basic testing, inspections, and documentation activities

  • Accurately complete work orders and record production data

  • Support Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and 5S initiatives

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment


Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Experience with precision assembly, hand soldering, electronics manufacturing, or microscope work preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and fine motor skills

  • Comfortable working with small components, epoxy mixing, and detailed assembly processes

  • Experience with crafts requiring hand-eye coordination (needlepoint, cross-stitch, jewelry making, model building, etc.) is a plus

  • Basic computer skills and ability to follow written instructions

  • Ability to sit for extended periods

  • Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks involving small parts and precision tools
