The Role • Installation of various cable types and electrical systems, including junction boxes, fuse panels, consoles, transformers, and switches. • Performing cable termination and installation of all electrical equipment. • Interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. • Collaborating with shipbuilding teams to ensure efficient and timely electrical installations. • Adhering to all safety and quality standards in all work performed. What You'll Need • A completed Modern Apprenticeship (SVQ Level 3) or equivalent trade qualification. • A valid SJIB card. • Experience working in marine installations or major industrial environments. • Familiarity with risk assessments, PUWER, COSHH, and safe working requirements. • Ability to read and follow trade drawings, electrical schematics, and technical instructions. • Proficiency in safe proving-dead procedures and tag-out processes.
