The Role • Operate heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to manage shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring accuracy and safety. • Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to maintain safety standards. • Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to efficiently manage container movements. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols and procedures. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is required. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. • Strong commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail. • Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. • Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and holidays. • Ability to pass pre-employment background verification, physical, and drug screening.
