Job Overview

Vertiv is seeking an experienced and motivated Cladding Team Leader to join our manufacturing team in Letterkenny.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of cladding operatives, coordinating daily production activities and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

This is a hands-on leadership position requiring strong technical knowledge, effective communication skills and the ability to support team performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the cladding team to meet production targets.
• Allocate tasks and ensure workloads are distributed effectively across team members.
• Oversee cladding installation and assembly activities in accordance with technical drawings and specifications.
• Monitor productivity, quality and performance to ensure production deadlines are achieved.
• Provide hands-on support, technical guidance and training to team members.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures and company policies.
• Conduct quality checks and address any defects or workmanship issues.
• Liaise with production supervisors and other departments to ensure efficient workflow.
• Identify and escalate material shortages, equipment issues and production delays.
• Support the onboarding and development of new employees.
• Promote teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience in cladding, roofing, construction, fabrication or a related manufacturing environment.
• Experience supervising, leading or coordinating a team.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
• Strong understanding of production processes, quality standards and workplace safety.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to motivate team members and manage competing priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting production targets.
• Willingness to work hands-on and support the team when required.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience with metal cladding, insulated panels or modular building systems.
• Previous team leadership experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Knowledge of roofing systems, sealing and weatherproofing processes.
• Relevant trade or technical qualification.
• Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
