Mid-Level Security Engineer [$288k/yr+] TS/SCI-FS Poly with Security Clearance

Summary: • Execute Information System Security Officer (ISSO) responsibilities ensuring adherence to NIST RMF guidelines and authorization processes. • Maintain and strengthen operational cybersecurity posture, perform risk and vulnerability assessments, and develop comprehensive System Security Plans (SSPs). • Oversee security configuration management and PKI integration across hardware, software, and network components.

Qualifications && Compensation: • Degree: Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience • Years of experience: 8+ years • Total Compensation: $288k+ yearly Job Description: • Provide support for proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies. • Maintain operational security posture for information systems and programs to ensure cybersecurity standards and procedures are established and followed. • Support security authorization activities and perform vulnerability and risk assessment analyses in compliance with the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF). • Prepare and review documentation including System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs). • Evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet required security standards for processing sensitive information. • Manage and track configuration management (CM) for security-relevant hardware, software, and firmware, and assess the security impact of changes. • Verify and track appropriate user identification and authentication mechanisms, including PKI integration. • Maintain records on workstations, servers, routers, firewalls, and network switches to support secure lifecycle upgrades.
