Job Description
Job Title: Workday Payroll Consultant
Location: Remote USA
Core Skills: irland/UK payroll in workday
Experience: 4+ Years
Key Responsibilities:
- Irish Payroll Operations (Primary Focus - 80%)
- End-to-End Processing: Manage the complete monthly payroll cycle for all ROI employees directly within Workday Payroll.
- Revenue Compliance (PMOD): Manage all interactions with the Revenue Online Service (ROS). Ensure accurate and timely retrieval of Revenue Payroll Notifications (RPNs) and submission of Payroll Submission Requests (PSRs) in strict adherence to PAYE Modernisation rules.
- Tax & Deductions: Ensure accurate calculation and application of PAYE, PRSI (all classes), and LPT.
- Benefit in Kind (BIK): Calculate and process complex BIK elements, including company cars, health insurance, and equity/stock vestings.Statutory Payments: Administer Irish statutory leaves and payments, including the Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) scheme, Maternity Benefit, Paternity Benefit, and Parent’s Leave.Pensions: Manage deductions and reporting for Occupational Pension Schemes and PRSAs.Workday System ManagementAct as the Workday Payroll subject matter expert for Ireland.Maintain and update earning and deduction codes, tax configurations, and worker payroll data.Lead the testing of bi-annual Workday feature releases to ensure Irish payroll compliance and system stability are maintained.Troubleshoot and resolve any Workday payroll calculation errors or integration issues.
- UK Payroll Support (Secondary Focus - 20%)Act as a backup for the UK payroll processing team.Assist with UK payroll tasks, utilizing your familiarity with HMRC regulations, PAYE, National Insurance Contributions (NICs), and UK statutory payments (SSP, SMP).Help validate UK payroll data and assist with month-end reporting for the region.Reporting & Employee SupportServe as the primary point of contact for Irish employees regarding complex payroll, tax, and BIK queries.Partner with the Finance team to prepare monthly payroll journals, gross-to-net reports, and assist with internal/external financial audits.
- Required Qualifications & ExperiencePayroll Experience: 4+ years of dedicated experience processing end-to-end payroll in the Republic of Ireland.System Expertise: Hands-on, practical experience processing payroll using Workday is strictly required.Irish Legislation: Deep, up-to-date knowledge of Irish employment law, Revenue regulations, and PAYE Modernisation (PMOD).
- UK Familiarity: Working knowledge of UK payroll legislation (HMRC, RTI, Auto-enrolment) and the ability to step in and support UK operations
