Quality Inspector

NPX Medical is a division of Nextern — a global, vertically integrated medical device development and manufacturing platform. This position will be primarily responsible for receiving, in-process, and final inspection of medical device components used in and manufactured by NPX.  This position will also be responsible for assisting in Quality investigations and testing as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support and perform inspection and testing of materials and products from incoming material through final assembly, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards
• Conduct visual, dimensional, and/or functional inspections of raw materials, in-process assemblies, and finished products in accordance with approved specifications and applicable quality standards
• Perform duties with minimal to moderate supervision
• Utilize measurement tools and equipment (e.g., pin gages, calipers, MicroVu, laser micrometers, pull testers) to verify physical dimensions and product attributes
• Verify that all measurement equipment is within current calibration status
• Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming materials
• Complete quality records, reports, and documentation in accordance with GDP (Good Documentation Practices)
• Apply and follow established sampling plans
• Participate in problem-solving activities and contribute to process and product evaluations for continuous improvement
• Provide data, analysis, and support to cross-functional teams as needed
• Support site objectives related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory

Required:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1+ years of experience in medical device manufacturing, including previous inspection experience
• Ability to read and interpret sampling and inspection plans
• Good organizational and communication
• Basic mathematics
• Detail oriented and organized
• General computer operations (e.g. Excel, Word)

Salary range: 22-26/hr depending on skills and experience
