Senior DevOps Engineer – AWS / Terraform

Location: Dallas, TX
Position Type: Full Time Role 
Work Arrangement: Dallas Area – Local Candidates Preferred
Experience: 11+ Years DevOps / Cloud Engineering Experience

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to take ownership of the end-to-end DevOps lifecycle, including CI/CD pipeline implementation, infrastructure automation, cloud deployments, and container orchestration.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise with Terraform, AWS, Jenkins, Kubernetes, and Ansible and be comfortable working independently in a consulting-oriented environment. This role is focused on engineering, automation, and delivery rather than day-to-day application or production support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of end-to-end DevOps pipeline design, implementation, and delivery.
  • Design, build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and related DevOps tools.
  • Develop and manage automated infrastructure provisioning using Terraform.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices across AWS environments.
  • Design and support application deployment processes across AWS cloud environments.
  • Develop automation for infrastructure configuration, application deployment, and operational processes.
  • Work with Kubernetes to deploy, manage, and maintain containerized applications.
  • Use Ansible for configuration management, provisioning, and automation.
  • Collaborate with development, architecture, and client teams to improve deployment processes and engineering practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline, infrastructure, deployment, and environment-related issues.
  • Establish and maintain DevOps standards, best practices, and reusable automation frameworks.
  • Identify opportunities to improve deployment speed, reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
  • Work independently with minimal client guidance and take accountability for technical deliverables.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders in a consulting-oriented capacity.
  • Provide technical recommendations and help clients implement scalable DevOps solutions.

The ideal candidate is an engineer/consultant rather than a production support resource. Candidates should demonstrate:

  • Strong ownership of DevOps implementations from design through deployment.
  • Deep hands-on Terraform expertise.
  • Proven experience building Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong AWS cloud engineering background.
  • Experience implementing Kubernetes-based deployments.
  • Strong automation experience with Ansible.
  • Ability to work independently and make technical decisions.
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
  • Experience working in consulting environments with multiple stakeholders.
