Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Avenue Vets on a full-time basis.

Avenue Vets is a well-established small animal practice based in Grantham, with a branch surgery in Bottesford. The team sees a varied first-opinion caseload, with a particular focus on dentistry thanks to a certificate-qualified vet and a strong dental caseload.

You’ll be joining a friendly, experienced team of 5 vets, 4 RVNs, a student nurse and a dedicated support team, offering a welcoming environment to develop your nursing skills and build strong relationships with clients and their pets.

Practice Highlights

* 4 consult rooms including 1 dedicated nurse consult room

* Dedicated dental theatre and x-ray

* Separate cat and dog wards

* Full in-house laboratory

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern

* 37 hours per week

* Working 5 days per week, with four shifts from 8:30am–4:30pm and one shift from 9:30am–7pm

* 1 in 5 Saturday's working 8.30am-3.30pm (early finish given the following Friday at 12 noon)

* No OOH requirement

General Responsibilities

* Nurse clinics

* Theatre work including prep and monitoring anaesthesia

* Imaging and lab work

* Inpatient care

* Nurse led stage 1 dentals
