Job description

Zensar Technologies Limited is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to lead API test automation initiatives within our null department. The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining C#‑based automation frameworks, integrating them into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring high‑quality releases through comprehensive functional and performance testing.
  • 8+ years of experience in test automation with C# as the language of choice.
  • Strong hands-on experience with C# and advanced programming concepts.
  • Extensive experience in API test automation built on .NET tech stack.
  • Strong experience with xUnit test scripting framework
  • Proven experience designing and developing test automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Solid understanding of APIs, integration testing, and automation best practices.
  • Strong SQL and database testing experience, including data validation and complex queries.
  • Hands-on experience creating and managing Azure DevOps pipelines for automated test execution.
  • Experience with test execution management, reporting, and quality tracking in Azure DevOps/JIRA.
  • Experience creating and maintaining API performance test scripts using JMeter.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with product teams and business analysts to overcome design/testing
  • Develop automated test scenarios for new API endpoints and services.
  • Enhance and maintain existing automation frameworks and build new capabilities where required.
  • Define and implement test automation strategies to improve quality and coverage.
  • Design, execute, and monitor API automation suites as part of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Create and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines for automated testing.
  • Perform database validation and backend testing using EF based test automation scenarios within API solutions.
  • Develop and execute API performance tests using JMeter.
  • Work closely with developers and product teams to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Mentor team members and promote automation best practices
