Job Description

Job Title: Technical Lead

Workplace Type: Hybrid-3 Days Onsite (Jersey City, NJ)

Employment Type: Contract to Direct Hire (6 months)

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to join our client’s team, focusing on BPM and Appian-based applications. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable process automation solutions within a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in BPM platforms, cloud integration, and enterprise system architecture, playing a pivotal role in driving innovation and operational excellence.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 8+ years of related experience in Java/J2EE and BPM platforms
  • Strong expertise in Appian BPM, including process modeling, SAIL, and integrations
  • Proven experience designing enterprise BPM workflows, case management, and automation solutions
  • Solid knowledge of microservices architecture and REST API integrations
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, containerization (Docker), and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, Maven
  • Experience with AI developer tools like AWS Kiro, Amazon Q, and Microsoft Copilot
  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance
  • Strong UI/UX architecture skills, including workflow design and usability principles
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience implementing BPM solutions in financial services or regulated industries
  • Appian certification (Level 2 or Lead Developer)
  • Cloud-native BPM deployment experience on AWS
  • Exposure to AI/ML-driven workflow automation and intelligent process automation
  • Knowledge of design systems and UI standards for enterprise applications

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Prior experience with Appian certification (Level 2 or Lead Developer) is advantageous
  • Experience working within Agile development environments

Other Requirements:

  • Strong skills in BPM to Appian integration and mapping
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently
  • Experience with migration processes related to BPM platforms is highly desirable
