Job Description

W2: IT Compliance Analyst

Client: SMBC

Location: Charlotte, NC

Duration: 6+ Months

Maximum Pay Rate: $35/hr

 

Job Summary

The IT Compliance Analyst will help ensure the organization operates within regulatory requirements, industry standards, and established risk tolerances. The role will focus on IT controls, compliance reporting, risk assessment, control testing, and dashboard development.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the continued development and implementation of the IT control framework.
  • Develop and maintain IT control reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Excel and Power BI.
  • Gather, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
  • Analyze trends, metrics, and KPIs to identify opportunities for IT control improvements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and provide actionable insights.
  • Automate recurring reports and streamline reporting workflows.
  • Support control testing, risk assessments, and internal audit activities.
  • Document reporting processes, procedures, and controls.
  • Monitor IT control activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and industry standards.

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of IT control and compliance frameworks, including NIST, ISO 27001/27000, and GDPR.
  • Experience developing and implementing IT control frameworks.
  • Experience with IT control testing, risk assessments, and internal auditing.
  • Strong experience with IT compliance reporting and dashboard development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
  • Strong analytical, research, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
