Medical Assistant (Bilingual - Spanish)

Join a community health clinic supporting pediatric and general practice patients. We're looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented Medical Assistant who is fluent in English and Spanish and comfortable in a fast-paced clinical setting. Candidate must be available to work on some Saturday\'s.

Medical Assistant responsibilities include greeting and rooming patients in English and Spanish, obtaining vital signs and medical histories, assisting with examinations and procedures, administering immunizations and medications, performing blood draws and laboratory testing, and supporting pediatric care. Additional duties include patient education, appointment scheduling, referrals, accurate EMR documentation, maintaining exam rooms and infection control standards, verifying medication and allergy information, and ensuring HIPAA compliance while supporting efficient clinic operations.

Pay Rate: $24.00/hr
Shift: Monday - Friday / 8:00AM - 5:00PM -or- 8:30AM - 5:30PM . Available to work on some Saturday\'s
Location: Echo Park, Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA
Job Requirements for Medical Assistant:
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in Pediatrics, Family Medicine, or General Practice. Previous experience working in a community health clinic preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish (spoken and written) required. Comfortable administering immunizations and injections to both pediatric and adult patients.

Proficient in venipuncture and blood collection techniques. Current Medical Assistant Certification required. Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required. High School Diploma or GED required. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, infection control practices, and clinical best practices.
