Role : Data Design Developer
Location: Washington, DC; Hyattsville, MD; or Alexandria, VA - Hybrid – 2 days onsite, 3 days remote
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Job Description
We are seeking a Data Design Developer to design and implement data architectures, schemas, and enterprise data integrations for a notification platform using Microsoft Azure and Power Platform. The role involves data modeling, API integrations, data quality, and supporting reliable, scalable applications that deliver notifications to the appropriate systems.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience.
  • 8 years of experience in the field or a related area, including 5–7 years of hands-on experience.
  • Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL database design.
  • Experience with document modeling and denormalized data structures.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database and SQL Managed Instance.
  • Experience with Azure Blob Storage and Azure Cosmos DB for MongoDB.
  • Experience supporting BI reporting data layers.
  • Experience designing, deploying, enhancing, and supporting highly available, mission-critical applications.
  • Knowledge of enterprise governance frameworks, security practices, and delivery methodologies.
  • Exposure to GTFS and GTFS-RT data modeling.
