You’ll lead projects from concept through completion, build strong client relationships, and guide multidisciplinary teams of engineers and architects.

This is an opportunity for an experienced project manager who enjoys both the technical and client-facing sides of the work and wants the opportunity to help grow a developing design practice.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead multiple design projects from initial planning and concept development through design, documentation, and construction.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, leading meetings, presentations, and project communication.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including structural, architectural, civil, and MEP professionals.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and quality plans.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the design process.
  • Build trusted client relationships and identify opportunities for continued and future work.
  • Support business development efforts, including proposals, interviews, and relationship building.
  • Mentor and support engineers and other members of the growing Atlanta design team.
  • Help expand Walker’s design presence and capabilities in the Atlanta market.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Approximately 8–10+ years of relevant design and project management experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE), Structural Engineer (SE), or Architect licensure.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary design projects.
  • Strong knowledge of building design and project delivery.
  • Experience developing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Experience with parking or functional design is highly valued.
