The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks. • Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety. • Coordinate container movements and tasks with yard personnel and supervisors. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols. What You'll Need • A valid driver’s license is required. • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. • Strong commitment to safety and a keen attention to detail. • Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including shifts, weekends, and holidays. • Ability to climb ladders and stairs, and lift up to 50lbs.
