Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer  with 9+ years of overall IT experience to architect, design, build, and optimize enterprise-scale solutions on the ServiceNow platform.

In this role, you will act as a platform authority, driving end-to-end implementation across complex modules, leading platform upgrades, and creating robust integrations with third-party systems. You will work closely with cross-functional business partners, enterprise architects, and engineering teams to transform business needs into high-performing, upgrade-safe ServiceNow applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Architecture & Development: Design, configure, and customize complex workflows, scoped applications, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, Flow Designer, and UI Policies following platform best practices.

• Integrations: Architect and maintain secure, scalable integrations between ServiceNow and external systems (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Workday, Salesforce, Splunk) using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Servers, and Webhooks.

• Core Modules Management: Lead implementation, enhancements, and configuration across key modules such as ITSM, ITOM (Discovery, Service Mapping, CMDB), ITAM, CSM, SecOps, or HRSD.

• Upgrades & Governance: Drive platform performance tuning, instance health management, and seamless family upgrades with minimal customization technical debt.

• CMDB Ownership: Oversee CMDB health, data modeling, discovery schedules, and reconciliation rules to ensure high-fidelity asset data across the enterprise.

• Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical guidance, perform thorough code reviews, and establish coding standards for junior and mid-level developers.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Work Experience: 9+ years of hands-on experience in software development, with 6+ years dedicated strictly to ServiceNow development and architecture.

• Technical Proficiency:

  • Expert-level command of JavaScript (ES5/ES6), HTML, CSS, Angular (for Service Portal), and Glide APIs (GlideRecord, GlideSystem, GlideAjax).

  • Proven experience with Service Catalog design, Catalog Client Scripts, and complex flow orchestration.

  • In-depth understanding of ServiceNow security models, ACLs, and domain separation.

• Integration Expertise: Demonstrated track record building custom REST/SOAP integrations, handling authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, SAML, Mutual TLS).

• Process & Methodology: Strong foundation in ITIL processes (ITIL v3 or v4) and experience working within Agile/Scrum or SAFe delivery models.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Certifications & Qualifications

• ServiceNow Certifications:

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) – Highly Preferred

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)

  • Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in ITSM, ITOM, or CSM

• Methodology: ITIL v4 Foundation or Managing Professional Certification.

• Additional Tech: Experience with automated testing frameworks (ATF), DevOps/CI-CD pipelines for ServiceNow deployment, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).

Location & Work Schedule

• Primary USA Hubs: New York, NY | Dallas, TX | San Jose, CA | Chicago, IL

• Work Arrangement: Open to Hybrid (2–3 days in-office) at primary locations or 100% Remote for qualified candidates based anywhere within the contiguous United States.
