Job Description - Sourcing Procurement Operations and Finance & Accounting

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy ServiceNow applications and platform solutions using JavaScript and the Now Platform (Flow Designer, IntegrationHub)
• Configure scoped applications and core platform features using best-practice patterns, security controls, and governance standards
• Build and maintain integrations with enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and IntegrationHub spokes; ensure secure, reliable data exchange
• Create and maintain technical documentation (solution designs, build notes, update sets, integration specifications, deployment runbooks)
• Provide post-deployment support, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements based on user feedback
• Maintain code quality through peer reviews, automated testing where applicable, and adherence to ServiceNow SDLC and release/deployment practices
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing across the ServiceNow platform team
• Develop automation and orchestration (flows/workflows, business rules, script includes, UI policies, catalog items) to improve operational efficiency and user experience
• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to produce solution designs and delivery estimates; translate requirements into implementable user stories
• Research and recommend emerging ServiceNow capabilities (e.g., Virtual Agent, AI Search, Now Assist where applicable) and present options to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Act with integrity and professionalism to support a respectful and courteous work environment
• Translate technical designs and business requirements into well-developed solutions that meet project standards.
• Design, develop, and configure applications and solutions on the ServiceNow platform, with a focus on Source-to-Pay, Procurement, and Finance/Accounting modules.
• Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and third-party financial and procurement systems.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure deliverables meet quality, security, and maintainability standards.
• Work closely with testing and quality assurance (QA) teams to resolve defects and ensure solutions are thoroughly tested.
• Adhere to established coding standards, naming conventions, and platform best practices.
• Support platform upgrades and contribute to maintaining development standard consistency.

Qualifications:

• Strong expertise in ServiceNow HR Service Delivery (HRSD) is required, including HR Case Management, Lifecycle Events, and self-service employee experiences, with additional experience across two or more ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, or CSM.
• Required Certifications: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD) Professional required; additional ServiceNow certifications preferred, e.g., ServiceNow CAD (Certified Application Developer), or platform micro-certifications.
• 3+ years of recent, hands-on ServiceNow HRSD development experience delivering platform solutions that solve business problems and create measurable impact.
• Bachelor''s degree from an accredited college or university preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
• Strong proficiency with ServiceNow scripting and development: JavaScript, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, ACLs, and data model design.
• Experience building integrations using REST/SOAP, IntegrationHub, and MID Server, including common patterns (authentication, error handling, retries, logging).
• Working knowledge of ServiceNow platform capabilities and app patterns (Flow Designer, Service Catalog, reporting/dashboards, performance considerations, CMDB/Asset concepts as applicable).
• Experience with Agile delivery practices (user stories, sprint ceremonies, backlog refinement) and communicating technical details clearly in written, sprint, and verbal forms.
• Minimum three years of experience in ServiceNow development, including hands-on configuration and advanced capabilities (e.g., Workflows, Flow Designer, App Engine).
• Bachelor''s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Required Certification: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
• Preferred Certifications: ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or relevant Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications (e.g., CIS-Procurement, CIS-Vendor Risk Management).
• Proficiency in JavaScript, GlideScript, HTML, CSS, and related web technologies.
• Experience with ServiceNow integrations using APIs, web services, and MID servers.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
