Job Description

Position Details:

Job Title: Software Engineer in Test

Locations: Westlake, TX! (Hybrid)

Duration: Long-term Contract (Extensions possible)

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

10+ years of experience in test automation development with Java or similar languages.

Extensive experience testing distributed applications across multiple layers of a technology stack.

Proficiency with REST, Web Services, SOAP, Git, Jenkins.

Strong technical skills, including SQL, XML, HTML, JavaScript, Java, or Python.

Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Cucumber, Selenium, RestAssured.

Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain testing frameworks like Junit, TestRunner, TestNG.

Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git, ClearCase).

Experience working with cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.

Practical experience with functional and regression testing in an agile environment.

Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Strong problem-solving skills, including risk identification and contingency planning.

Proven ability to work autonomously and within team settings, including Agile Sprints and Kanban.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Azure cloud technologies.

Familiarity with internal governance frameworks.

Hands-on experience working in complex system integration and testing environments.

Prior experience working in a quality engineering or software testing capacity within a financial or similar regulated industry.
