Project Manager - High-Security Fit-Out | Reading We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a leading main contractor on a c.£5m high-security fit-out project in Reading.

This is a high-profile project requiring an experienced construction professional with a proven track record of delivering complex projects and the ability to operate effectively within a highly controlled, security-sensitive environment.

The Role As Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project from pre-construction through to completion, working closely with the client, design team, consultants, subcontractors and internal commercial and operational teams. Key responsibilities will include:

Taking overall responsibility for project delivery, programme, quality and health &amp; safety.<br />Managing and coordinating subcontractors, consultants and site teams.<br />Driving the programme to ensure key milestones and completion dates are achieved.<br />Managing project risks, change and commercial interfaces.<br />Leading project meetings and maintaining strong client relationships.<br />Ensuring works are delivered to the required specification and quality standards.<br />Coordinating design, procurement and construction activities.<br />Maintaining rigorous standards around site security, access and confidentiality.<br />Providing clear and accurate reporting on progress, programme, risk and overall project performance.About You We are looking for an established Project Manager with a strong track record of delivering £5m+ fit-out or refurbishment projects, ideally within commercial, government, defence, critical infrastructure or other security-sensitive environments.

You will ideally have:

Proven experience managing projects valued at £5m+.<br />A strong fit-out and/or refurbishment background.<br />Excellent programme and subcontractor management skills.<br />Strong commercial and contractual awareness.<br />Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.<br />A methodical, organised and highly professional approach to project delivery.<br />Relevant construction qualifications, such as SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid.<br />Existing high-level security clearance or the ability to obtain the required clearance.<br />A British passport, due to the security requirements of the project.Security Clearance High-level security clearance is an essential requirement for this position.

Due to the sensitive nature of the project, candidates will be required to meet the relevant nationality and security-vetting requirements before being granted access to the site/project.
