AI Prompt Engineers

Outstanding contract opportunity! A well-known Financial Services Company is looking for a Prompt Engineer in Charlotte, NC (hybrid 3 days on-site).

As a Prompt Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our AI development team by designing and developing prompts that enable optimal performance from our AI models and algorithms. Your skills in crafting clear, effective, and engaging prompts will be vital to advancing the capabilities and accuracy of our AI systems.

Contract Duration: 12+ Months

Required Skills & Experience

• AI harness development" - writing complex, context-aware prompts
• Dev background flexible (Python, Go, .NET, etc.) - general coding ability valued over specific language
• DB experience: Postgres, Elastic, Cloud SQL
• Nice-to-have (lower priority): cloud computing, GKE, Kubernetes
• Cyber background is essential
• Model-agnostic (OpenAI, Anthropic, even non-US frontier models) - prioritizes demonstrated prompting ability + cyber context over which tool they've used
• Years of experience less important than raw aptitude/drive, since this is a new field

What You Will Be Doing

• Work closely with AI researchers and developers to gather project requirements and align on objectives.
• Create a wide variety of prompts tailored to different AI tasks and applications.
• Innovate and experiment with new techniques for generating prompts that drive better model performance.
• Conduct in-depth research to find and curate relevant data sources to support prompt development.
• Develop prompts engineered to elicit precise and meaningful responses, ensuring alignment with desired outcomes.
• Continuously test, refine, and optimize prompts based on feedback and performance metrics from AI models.
• Analyze model outputs to make data-driven enhancements to prompt effectiveness.
• Keep abreast of the latest trends and developments in NLP and AI technologies.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure the smooth integration of prompts within AI-driven applications.
