Job Description

Product Research &amp; Development Co-Ordinator / Trainee Co-Ordinator<br /> Blackpool, Lancashire | Competitive Salary | Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm | Permanent I'm working with an established and innovative business within the environmental and safety products sector, who are looking to add a Product Research &amp; Development Co-Ordinator / Trainee Co-Ordinator to their R&amp;D team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys research, developing ideas, understanding customers and taking projects from an initial concept through to launch. You'll play a key role in supporting the development of new products, working across the business to turn customer and market insight into commercially viable product ideas.

Your responsibilities will include:

Conducting market and competitor research to identify customer needs, market gaps and opportunities<br />Generating and evaluating new product ideas<br />Keeping up to date with industry trends, innovations and commercial opportunities<br />Engaging directly with customers to understand their needs and develop product concepts<br />Organising and attending face-to-face customer research meetings<br />Preparing detailed design briefs for the Product Design team<br />Project managing new product development projects, ensuring key milestones are delivered<br />Working closely with Product Design, Engineering, Marketing, Sales and Operations<br />Preparing and delivering presentations to internal stakeholders<br />Coordinating activities around new product launches<br />Supporting the ongoing review and development of the existing product portfolio<br />Travelling for business when required<br />They're looking for someone who is:

Creative and able to generate new ideas<br />Analytical with strong research and problem-solving skills<br />Commercially aware and customer-focused<br />A strong communicator, both written and verbally<br />Highly organised with good project management skills<br />Comfortable managing multiple priorities<br />Proactive, self-motivated and detail-oriented<br />Confident using Microsoft Office or equivalent<br />Happy to travel when required<br />Previous experience in Product Development, R&amp;D, Marketing or Project Management would be beneficial, alongside experience in customer research, market analysis or working cross-functionally.

A 2:1 degree in Product Design, Marketing or a related subject is required. What's on offer?
