Network Technician

Job Title: Network Technician
Location: Washington, DC (hybrid) 
Type: Contract To Hire
Compensation: $36.03/HR on W2
Security Clearance: Public Trust

Responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain the TO4 network systems.
• Respond to incidents, triage issues identified by automation, and document work in ServiceNow.
• Coordinate maintenance windows with customers and configure, ship gear for production.
• Perform process documentation and train team members on design changes and new technology.
• Support vendors such as Cisco, Aruba WiFi, Arista Velo SD-WAN, Aruba Switching, APC Netbotz, F5 Load Balancing, Palo Alto firewalls, and Zscaler.
• Ensure team has the necessary information to work independently and escalate issues appropriately.

Requirements

• High School diploma with 4+ years of experience in systems, desktop, or network support.
• Security+ certification.
• Zscaler, Network+ certifications.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Initiative, ownership, and accountability.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Logical troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Experience with ITSM ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Remedy.
• Strong Cisco Switching configuration skills.
• Strong F5 Load Balancing skills.
• Strong Aruba WiFi and switching skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CCNP or equivalent.
• Python scripting experience.
• Rust development experience.
• VMware experience.
• Linux experience.
• Zscaler management and troubleshooting experience.
