The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment such as hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring accurate and safe handling.
• Drive hostlers to strategically position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to guarantee safety and functionality.
• Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily logistics and task execution.
• Maintain a high standard of safety by strictly adhering to established protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs.
• Experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive commitment to safety.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including shifts, weekends, and holidays.
