Senior Vice President, Data Privacy

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Data Privacy to join the Global Privacy Office team. This role is hybrid (4 days in-office) and located in Manchester.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Serve as a strong privacy subject matter expert, helping to shape and advance BNY’s enterprise privacy program and advising business stakeholders in the context of a rapidly evolving technology and regulatory landscape. 
• Lead key privacy activities, including privacy incidents, individual rights requests (e.g. data subject access requests), privacy risk assessments and privacy regulatory change initiatives.
• Identify, implement and scale opportunities to use AI tools to improve privacy processes, increase efficiency, and deliver better privacy risk management outcomes. Also drive the effective use and enhancement of existing privacy management technology to improve governance, workflow management, reporting and program outcomes. 
• Partner effectively with stakeholders across functions to drive timely execution of privacy deliverables, influence decisions and maintain a high standard of quality and organization.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree (JD, MBA, or equivalent) or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Expertise in operationalizing financial services-applicable privacy laws/regulations, e.g. privacy incident management, individual rights request management, privacy risk assessments and privacy regulatory change management.
• Hands-on experience leveraging AI and other technology (e.g. OneTrust) responsibly to improve privacy processes, controls and outcomes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, and a proven ability to influence stakeholders and deliver high-quality work at pace in a dynamic, highly regulated environment
• Professional privacy and/or AI governance certifications preferred, e.g. CIPP, CIPT, AIGP
